🎉 Celebrating 45 Years of CNY Folksmarch!

This year marks an exciting milestone—45 years of monthly walks in Central New York!

Since 1981, Folksmarch has encouraged people of all ages and abilities to get outside, explore new places, and enjoy the benefits of walking.

For the past 10 years, CNY Folksmarch has continued that tradition as an independent nonprofit organization, thanks to the dedication of volunteers and board members.

We’re celebrating this milestone during our 2026 Annual Meeting on Saturday, November 7, with light refreshments and an opportunity to reflect on our history and plan for the future.

2026 Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting is open to everyone interested in CNY Folksmarch. Annual Pass Holders and Yearly Passport holders are especially encouraged to attend, as they are eligible to vote on organizational business.

Topics include:

  • Board member nominations and officer elections
  • Planning our 2027 walking locations
  • Recognition of walkers earning 10-walk pins
  • Feedback on our 2026 walks
  • Planning for the continued success of CNY Folksmarch

Our organization needs your participation!

We are seeking new board members and volunteers to help keep our monthly walks going. Whether you can assist at registration, help organize walks, or serve on the board, your involvement makes a difference.
